It is known that the simultaneous smooth tracking of target the eyes and fingertips enhances the ability of oculomotor system to position the object in the makula. However, the need to coordinate separate movements into a single purposeful motor act in children with attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity (ADHD) significantly complicates the task for the immature structures belonging to the "frontal cortex-basal ganglia to the thalamus and cortex", these movements.
In accordance with the above, the aim of this study was to analyze changes in saccadic eye movements (SEM) and hands registered in coordinated tests in children of primary school age (7-9 years) with ADHD using the hardware-software complex and techniques developed in the laboratory of neurocybernetic SRC RAMS (Baziyan, 2000).
The analysis revealed statistically reliable increase SEM latent periods and durations and absorbed by saccadic than standard intra- and extraindividual variability in the Group of patients with ADHD. When analyzing the movement parameters in the Group of patients with ADHD compared with healthy subjects showed a significant increase in latent periods and durations of movements of both hands and avoid duplicating than normal inter-individual variability among and inside.
Thus, the comparative analysis of electrophysiological parameters of joint movements of eyes and hands are evidence of violations of the interaction between two motor systems in ADHD. The need for coordinated eye movements and hands in children of primary school age (7 - 9 years) occurs when reading and writing skills, while learning the computer. Therefore, we can conclude that the identified changes lead to substantial difficulties in children with ADHD learn school skills.
