Psychological-pedagogical support in conditions of inclusive education

Inclusive education of children is very actual in modern educational trends; its advantages confirms a foreign and a rather new domestic teaching experience. Inclusive education allows solving the problems of temporary inclusion of children with special abilities in the education space and creating a friendly environment for the academic and social development of each child. The education of children with disabilities is one of the main conditions of their successful socialization and ensuring a full life adaptation in our society.

The project aims at a comprehensive study of children with disabilities, including pedagogical, psychological and medical support of the process of adaptation and rehabilitation in inclusive education, and also to develop measures and recommendations for the integration of children with disabilities in their peers’ environment. It needs to develop the educational and socio-cultural programs, which includes the creation of a diagnostic system, updating the organizational forms of the educational process and the formation of a new learning environment. Psycho-pedagogical support of the inclusive education leads to better levels of moral development and promotes personal growth of children. Children with disabilities will be able to get a better education and better adapt to life in society. As for healthy children, inclusive education will develop tolerance and responsibility.

It’s expected to study the problem in the following areas as a part of this project:

- Develop a programs of a psycho-pedagogical support adaptation and rehabilitation of children with disabilities in terms of inclusive education;

The creation of a model of effective inclusive education, including educational technology, an individual curriculum, tolerant school culture, forms of parental participation in the inclusive education of children;

- Preparation and implementation of complex-targeted program of the adaptation support and rehabilitation of children with disabilities.

- The development of ecological tourism (nature trails adapted for the children abilities visiting the unique landscapes and zoological natural monuments), the establishment of the eco-camps;

- The organization of children festivals, competitions and other social-cultural activities on the inclusion principles, together with public organizations, meeting children with disabilities with the activities of volunteers regional charities;

- Organizing and conducting a series of seminars on specific aspects of inclusive education for teaching students of the Voronezh universities within the scope of Interuniversity Research Laboratory "psycho-pedagogical and socio-economic adaptation to the individual professional activities" VGPU;

- Development and implementation of a special course on inclusive education for students of postgraduate courses of the Voronezh Advanced Training in Education Institute within the scope of the Interuniversity Research Laboratory "psychological, educational and socio-economic adaptation to the individual professional activities" VGPU.
