Chronic hyperglycemia is a major cause of vascular complications of diabetes, in pathogenesis of which there is the activation of oxidative stress in cells. One of the most serious complications of diabetes is the formation of the syndrome of "diabetic foot".
Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine antioxidant activity of extracts isolated from plants growing in Kazakhstan.
In the presentce work was we studied 13 ethanolic extracts isolated from the leaves and roots of plants (Cynomorium songaricum, Eremurus fuscus, Epilobium hirsutum, Euphorbia rapulum, Euphorbia latifolia, Ferula songarica, Glycyrzhiza uralensis, Haplophyllum siversii, Iris ruthenica, Limonium caspium, Phlomis tuberosa, Rumex confertus, Rhodiola quadrifida).
Starting dose of for all the extracts was determined set at by the concentration of 750 g/ml, with subsequent decrease in the half, to a minimum concentration of 50 g/ml. Ascorbic acid was used Aas a reference drug was used ascorbic acid.
The sStudiyes shows that extracts of Cynomorium songaricum aerial part, Glycyrzhiza uralensis aerial part, Glycyrzhiza uralensis root, Rhodiola quadrifida aerial part, have low antioxidant activity from 5 to 30% inhibition of diphenylpicrylhydrazyl (DPPH). Extracts of Eremurus fuscus aerial part, Haplophyllum siversii aerial part, Iris ruthenica roots, Iris ruthenica aerial part, Euphorbia rapulum roots have antioxidant activity from 30 to 85% inhibition of DPPH. It should be noted that as the concentration of extract is reduced, and the percentage of inhibition of DPPH decreases as well. Extracts of the Phlomis tuberosa aerial part, Euphorbia rapulum aerial part, Ferula songarica roots, Euphorbia latifolia roots, Epilobium hirsutum aerial part, Rumex confertus roots (P ≤ 0,05) demonstrated high antioxidant activityHigh antioxidant activity greater than 85% inhibition of DPPH showed extracts of the Phlomis tuberosa aerial part, Euphorbia rapulum aerial part, Ferula songarica roots, Euphorbia latifolia roots, Epilobium hirsutum aerial part, Rumex confertus roots (P ≤ 0,05), which indicates their high antioxidant activity.
Thus, we have selected the most promising extracts of herbal remedies with high antioxidant activity, which that can be used to create products remedies for the treatingment of diabetic foot.
