The aim of research: study of state of the monoaminergical system in the brain stem structures of the rats of both sexeswith the growth of experimental lung cancer.
Materials and Methods: the content of dopamine (DA ), noradrenalin (NA), serotonin (5HT) and 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) ELISA in the tissue of the brain stem structures of rats of both sexes (38 males and 34 females) was studied in the third day, the 1st, 3rd and 5th weeks after intravenous introduction to the lung cell suspension of sarcoma-45.
Results and Discussions: The males on the third day after the transplantation of sarcoma 45 in lung DA level, NA and 5HT in the brain stem were reduced by 1.4 times, 1.3 times and 1.5 times, respectively, compared to intact animals.During the experiment, the saturation of DA in the 1st week after transplantation decreased by 1.5 times, restoring its level to the third week. The concentration of NA and 5HT was also lower on the 1st week by 1.6 times and 2 times, respectively, up to the third week by 1.8 times. However, on the 5th week was again marked decline in the NA and 5HT 1.3 times and 3.4- times, respectively, compared with intact rats. Dynamic of changes in the concentration of the metabolite of serotonin - 5-HIAA in the brain stem structures was the following: on the third day after the introduction of the tumor in the lung changes were not detected, on the 1st week of the experiment the level was down by 1.5 times, and on the third week, contrarily, increased by 1.6 times, normalizing to the 5th week. The ratio DA/NA on the third day and the 1st week was not different from intact animals, reduced by the time going up of the tumor (Week 3) by 2.2 times, and then creased to the 5th (the death of males) by 1.3 times.
The ratio 5HT/5-HIAA on the third day decreased by 1.5 times, while remaining the same in the 1st week, normalizing on the third week, but at the time of death again reduced by 2.4 times compared with intact males.In female DA level in the brain stem on the third day had the opposite direction - increased by 1.2 times compared to intact rats. NA did not change compared to the background, but was higher than that of males by 1.4 times. Concentration of 5HT in this period decreased by 1.2 times as compared to intact females, and increase of 1.7 times relative to the index of the males in this period of the study.DA and 5HT saturation on the first week of the experiment was on the background level, and by the third and fifth weeks reduced.The level NA, contrarily, by the fifth week (the moment going up the tumorin females) increased. Concentration of 5-HIAA increased in the structureon the 1st and 3rd week by 1.4 times, and by the fifth week decreased relative to the previous period of the study.
Conclusion. Going out of the tumor in the lung is accompanied by deficiency of dopamine, noradrenaline levels increased, decreased rate DA/ NA in the brain stem structures , which was a common element for males and females.At the same time, the gender differences were the terms of the reaction of biogenic amines in the brain stem in the dynamic of the tumor in the lung (males reduction of biogenic amines was noted on the third day, and most of the indicators in females only respond to the first week ) and the dynamic of change in the concentration of serotonin (going out of tumors in males occurred alongside elevated 5HT and females - with the reduction).Thus, ratio of males 5HT/5-HIAA was normal, and the females testified serotonin deficiency.
